Conistorgis, as I later came to realize, was perhaps the most important village of the Cónios, a people who, at the time, would have inhabited not only the southeast of the current Baixo Alentejo, but also, at least, the entire Eastern Algarve, extending that domain perhaps even to the vicinity of Portimão.
The Cefes, Cempsos, Estrímnios peoples are names that are intertwined with others, such as Trebaruna, Nabia, Bandua, Catraleucos, Oxthracas, Conistorgis... Distant and mysterious, as mysterious and distant was Iberia, where the «World» ended, and the Sun took refuge in the depths of the Ocean, seeking the night...
