The first children's book written according to the Algarve dialect, «Os Bichinhes Algarvies» has texts by Sérgio Brito and illustrations by Isabel Avó and Gonçalo Avó.

In 2012, Sérgio Brito embarked on a path to preserving the specificities of the Algarve dialect, with the publication of the first work of fiction written according to the dialect and pronunciation of the Algarve people. The success of this work paved the way for others to follow in its footsteps, although not the originality, which is once again present in this work, dedicated to children.
