Adalberto Alves was born in 1939, in Lisbon, of Celtic and Arab ancestry. He soon discovered the orientation of the civilizations of Asia, and found his spiritual homeland in them. He studied the East and has experienced it intensely, through the countless trips he took. Jurist, poet and lecturer, he has presented communications in various institutions, namely universities, in Portugal, the European Union and Arab countries. He has a vast published work, highlighting the works he dedicated to Sufism and Portuguese-Arabic poetry, some of them forming part of reference works, foreign and national, in the specialty.
